2007-08 ANNUAL NCAA COACHES SALARY SURVEY (Member's Only)
This year’s Salary Survey was conducted at the AHCA Convention in Naples, FL. Coaches were given surveys and asked to complete them before the start of the Opening Business Meeting. (Member's Only Section)

SETH APPERT OF RENSSELAER IS NEW AHCA PRESIDENT
Seth Appert, the head men's ice hockey coach at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, has been chosen to serve as president of the American Hockey Coaches Association, it was announced today by AHCA Executive Director Joe Bertagna. (Full Release)

AMATEUR HOCKEY COMMUNITY COMES TO NAPLES, FL
Approximately 600 ice hockey coaches are expected to be on hand when the annual American Hockey Coaches Association Convention takes place in Naples, FL, later this week. The AHCA, which was founded in 1947, now totals nearly 1,500 members, the majority of which are NCAA men's and women's coaches. (Full Release)

RED BERENSON of MICHIGAN IS AHCA MEN’S DIVISION I COACH of the YEAR
For his efforts in leading the Wolverines of the University of Michigan to both the CCHA regular season and tournament titles, Gordon “Red” Berenson has been chosen winner of the 2008 Spencer Penrose Award as Division I Men’s Coach of the Year. (Full Release)

MEN’S RBK DIVISION I ICE HOCKEY ALL-AMERICANS ANNOUNCED
Fourteen Division I hockey-playing schools can celebrate players honored as RBK ALL-AMERICANS for the 2007-08 season. The nation's top 24 college hockey players were announced tonight at the NCAA Men's Division I Frozen Four in Denver, CO. (Full Release)

TOM COAKLEY TO RECEIVE AHCA’S LAMORIELLO AWARD
Thomas F. Coakley, a former hockey player at Brown University and currently Vice President for Administrative Operations at St. Lawrence University, has been chosen the recipient of the 2008 Lou Lamoriello Award by the American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA). (Full Release)

COLLEGE HOCKEY COMMISSIONERS LAUNCH NEW WEB SITE
The commissioners of the six NCAA Division I men’s ice hockey conferences will launch a new web site tomorrow, April 9, on the eve of this year’s NCAA Frozen Four. Aimed primarily at young hockey players contemplating their playing options, “playcollegehockey.com” will provide a wealth of valuable information for players and families wishing to pursue the dream of playing college hockey. TIM COGHLIN of ST. NORBERT COLLEGE IS NAMED AHCA MEN’S DIVISION III COACH of the YEAR
Tim Coghlin, who led St. Norbert College to a 27-1-4 record and the school’s first NCAA Division III Men’s Ice Hockey National Championship, has been named the winner of the 2008 Edward Jeremiah Award, given annually to the Men’s Division III Ice Hockey Coach of the Year. (Full Release)

JIM FETTER of WAYNE STATE UNIVERSITY IS AHCA WOMEN’S DIVISION I COACH of the YEAR
For his efforts in leading Wayne State University to its best season in school history, Jim Fetter has been named by his peers as the AHCA Women’s Division I Coach of the Year for 2007-08. The Warriors compiled a record of 22-9-3 this year, shattering the previous school record of 15 wins. (Full Release)

PLATTSBURGH STATE’S KEVIN HOULE REPEATS...AGAIN... AS THE AHCA DIVISION III WOMEN’S HOCKEY COACH OF THE YEAR
Kevin Houle, who led Plattsburgh State to its second consecutive Women’s NCAA Division III Championship, has been voted by his peers as the Division III Women’s Ice Hockey Coach of the Year for the third year in a row. (Full Release)
