Northeast Generals Assistant Equipment Manager (Internship)

The Northeast Generals are seeking (1-2) Assistant Equipment Managers (Interns) to join their hockey operations staff for the 2019-20 season. The Assistant Equipment Managers will report to the Head Equipment Manager/Athletic Trainer and will work with the hockey operations staff to ensure that all equipment needs are met for the team. This position is ideal for someone looking to gain experience in the elite level sports landscape managing equipment needs for elite athletes. This is a un-paid position.

Practice Day Responsibilities

• Assist with for the day-to-day management and preparation of equipment needs for Northeast Generals players and staff
• Assist with organizing the locker room on a daily basis
• Assist with all daily maintenance needs such as equipment preparation, laundry and other issues as they arise

Game Day Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Equipment Manager/Athletic Trainer with locker room set up
• Assist with equipment needs of the visiting team
• Cleaning out all equipment from team benches and other on-ice areas after home games

Team Travel

• Not needed but may be considered for individuals desiring to travel with the team

Additional Responsibilities

• Any other additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Technical skills of sharpening skates, repairing equipment and sewing are a bonus but not required for this position
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights, and weekends
• Ability to multitask and work professionally with other staff members is a must for this position

* Need Head Coach role fulfilled as soon as possible. Coach had to leave mid-season for personal reasons. In order to continue our season, we need a volunteer to step in as Head Coach.

We are looking for an ambitious, social, highly organized and motivated individual. This is not a sales position, but we are looking for someone who can communicate well verbally and in writing to prospective attendees. Desire to help others, particularly student-athletes is an integral part of our culture. You will need to help us with innovative social media outreach, mass e-mailing, maintaining our database and website. Excel skills, experience in Wordpress, photoshop/photo and video editing are major plusses. Creativity and enthusiasm will make you an ideal candidate.

Requirements

This is listed as a part time gig. But, it could easily transform into a full time situation. We want to have some fun and we want you to enjoy the experience of working along side us as we grow. The work load can be seasonal, so be ready and available to put lots of hours in preparing for and during an event. Other times the work load can be very light. We do expect you to prioritize our work when necessary and be an integral part of our small team. Position is remote but we would like to be able to meet with you weekly or biweekly as the demand requires, if possible. Expect some face-to-face time during the training period. This position may give you the opportunity to see the world at our expense! We currently host events in Florida, Western Canada, Sweden and Denmark but we anticipate expanding to several other international locations in the next two years. King's College - Volunteer Part-Time Video Coordinator

The NCAA Division III Women's Hockey team at King's College in Wilkes-Barre, PA is looking for a part-time volunteer video coordinator to help for the 2019-20 season.

This is a great opportunity for students looking for experience working with an NCAA hockey team, or those who are simply passionate about the game of hockey. We are looking for an individual to assist running in-game video tracking, as well as video clipping (shots, faceoffs, forecheck, etc.) and assist putting together pre-scout videos of upcoming opponents for coaching staff. Also any additional help needed by coaching staff pertaining to game film.

Attendance for all home and away games is crucial. Candidate will travel with the team on the road. All home games are played at Revolution Ice Centre in Pittston, PA.

The ideal candidate will fit the following criteria:

• Strong knowledge of the game of ice hockey
• Experience with video editing technology, hockey video editing experience preferred (XOS, or similar program)

University of Colorado Boulder - ACHA Men's D2 Head Hockey Coach

University of Colorado Boulder, an American Collegiate Hockey Association program with elite ACHA Men's Division 1 and Division 2 teams, is seeking candidates for the position of men's D2 head hockey coach.

ACHA Women's Division 1 Vice President

The ACHA is accepting nominations and applications for the newly formed Board of Directors position of Women's Division 1 Vice President. The ACHA Board of Directors manages the business and affairs of the ACHA and has the authority to establish policies and procedures for the operation of the organization and its services.

The Board of Directors are the officers of the Association elected by the membership. Since this new position was voted on and approved by membership at the 2019 Annual Meeting, the positions' vacancy will be appointed by the current Board of Directors and will become an elected position by membership at the end of the current two-year term per ACHA Bylaws.

The new makeup of the ACHA Board of Directors will consist of the President, Vice President for M1, Vice President for M2, Vice President for M3, Vice President for W1, Vice President for W2, the Secretary, the Treasurer, and the USA Hockey Representative.

Responsibilities are to help oversee the operations of the ACHA as a whole and to represent Women's Division 1 on the Board of Directors. Work with Women's Division 1 Commissioner to make sure all functions of the division are running smoothly and support in any areas needed. University of Colorado Boulder – Men's D2 Ice Hockey Head Coach

University of Colorado Boulder, an American Collegiate Hockey Association program with elite ACHA Men's Division 1 and Division 2 teams, is seeking candidates for the position of men's D2 head hockey coach.

Clearly the best way to improve youth ice hockey in Delaware is to provide an environment where everyone that wants to play can play. In addition to technical skill, we mandate that our players have discipline, a strong work ethic, strong sense of team work and a high level of commitment. Primary developmental focus at all levels will be on power skating, stick handling, hockey sense, physical conditioning and endurance.

The Jr. Blue Hens are looking to fill the following;

1 - U18 Boys Head Coach
1 – U16 Boys Head Coach
Head Coach: Areas of responsibility is coaching and assist in all aspects of the hockey team including organizing and administering practices, game strategies, manage schedule, injury reports, and weekly meeting with the Director of Hockey.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Excellent leadership skills
• Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently
• Strong organizational and administrative skills
• A proven record of integrity, high principles and demonstrated skill in developing and motivating students - athletes both academically and athletically
• A pleasant personality combined with a positive attitude is essential
• Ability to foster a cooperative work environment, get along and work well with other members of the organization
• Excellent time management skills & Coaching skills
• Reside in the greater Philadelphia or surrounding area (DE, MD, or NJ)

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Must be available during the evening Monday- Friday and weekend work
• Some overnight travel- Showcases and tournaments
• Extensive knowledge of the game- Ideal candidate will have played at a high level and has some experience coaching at a high performance level
• Must receive a negative Criminal Record Check

Hobart Club Hockey Head Coach

We are seeking a volunteer Head Coach who would most likely be paid some sort of stipend to coach our team. Myself and Co-President have worked tirelessly to rebuild our program after some issues left by our predecessors. For the 2019-20 season, we have 10 games scheduled so far against ACHA Division 1 teams: Oswego, Cornell, Niagara, RIT and a Villanova showcase. We would be looking for our coach to attend games, but only selected practices (minimal commitment). We are in desperate need of a coach, preferably someone who has coach a reasonable level of hockey in their past.

Colorado State ACHA D2 Head Coach

Colorado State ACHA D2 is looking for a new head coach
This is a paid position not through the university

Requirements:

Would prefer to live in the Northern Colorado area or commit to being at all practices
Willing to commit to about 10 hours per week with games and practices
Will need to be able to travel twice and possibly up to four times per year depending on post season.
Experience playing at ACHA level or higher
Prefer to have travel coaching experience

Duties:

Will be responsible for holding practice and holding the team accountable in all situations
Will not have to handle any game day operations, all done by team staff
Will be responsible to show up to all games and practices ready to push the team
Will be a representative of the team for all league and ACHA meetings

The Rocky Mountain RoughRiders AAA Hockey Club invite qualified candidates to apply for assistant coach positions that are available for the 2019-2020 season. We are currently seeking candidates for assistant coaches for teams at the 14U – 18U age levels.

Responsibilities:

- Assist in daily practice planning
- Teach on ice skills and player development
- Prepare for and attend all home and away games, including traveling to 5-7 tournaments
- Support with off-ice team activities such as dryland training and video analysis

- Safesport certified & positive background screening

Connecticut Polar Bears - Coaching Positions

The Connecticut Polar Bears are seeking coaches from June - August 2019.

Responsibilities will include:

- Time Commitment: Up to 10 hours per week
- On and off ice coaching
- Working with coaching staff to create practice plans
- Encouraging strong character, leadership, and work ethic in our athletes
- Providing role-model behavior to our athletes

Qualifications:

- NCAA Division I or III playing experience preferred
- Candidate must have a valid driver's license
- Candidate must reside in the Connecticut area
- Candidate must have a strong passion for ice hockey
- Experience working with young athletes preferred

About the Connecticut Polar Bears

The Connecticut Polar Bears, the first all-girls ice hockey program in Connecticut, have competed internationally since 1985. The Polar Bears have won 11 National Championships. Nine Polar Bears players have competed in the Olympic Games, and many have played on the U.S. National Team. Four Polar Bears have gone on to win the Patty Kazmaier Award, given to the top female college ice hockey player. The Polar Bears organization has placed more than 240 players in college, and 39 of those players have become coaches at the college or prep school level.

The Head Women's Ice Hockey Coach will report to the Director of Athletics. Responsibilities will include all aspects of coaching, student development and recruiting as well as assisting the Director of Athletics in the leadership, vision and supervision of the ice hockey program. The position will also include athletic administrative responsibilities assigned by the Director of Athletics.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:

Candidates shall have a genuine understanding and commitment to the NCAA DIII philosophy as well as strong leadership and interpersonal skills with an ability to work with all constituencies of the campus. Candidates should have strong experience and skills in the area of recruiting as well as player development and coaching.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EDUCATION REQUIRED:

• Prior coaching or collegiate playing experience required
• Recruiting experience required
• Exceptional leadership skills
• Knowledge of all NCAA Div. III rules and regulations
