Iowa State University – Men's Ice Hockey Assistant Coach

Iowa State University, an American Collegiate Hockey Association program with elite ACHA Men's Division 1 and Division 2 teams, is seeking candidates for the position of men's assistant hockey coach.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assisting the head coach & general manager in all aspects of coaching both the ACHA Men's D1 and D2 teams; preparing practice plans for both teams; assisting and/or running team practices; planning dryland training sessions; preparing and running team video sessions; performing important administrative duties; coordinating travel arrangements and plans for both teams; assisting in the recruitment of student-athletes for both teams; monitoring student-athlete academic performance; selling advertisements and sponsorships to area, regional, and national businesses; and serving as a coach and instructor at the organization's summer hockey school.

•Experience coaching ice hockey at the junior or collegiate level or higher preferred.

Full-Time Assistant Coach – Wenatchee Tier 1 AAA Development Teams

Wenatchee Amateur Hockey Association and the Wenatchee Wild Hockey Club are looking for a full-time Assistant Coach to work with the Tier 1 AAA club teams which consist of the Wolves U18, Wilderness U16, and Wolverines U14 teams. The Wolves U18 team is a full-time academy style billet program, while the Wilderness U16 and Wolverines U14 teams are weekend-only tournament teams where the players travel on the weekends for training and competition.

This is a full-time, 12-month position. In addition to serving as an Assistant Coach for all three winter teams, this position will have significant administrative duties and will be responsible for recruiting and coaching 1-2 spring hockey teams. Training/Ice Sales/Marketing: Responsible to follow-up programming by marketing combine off-ice and on-ice program and then selling the program with the desired amount of clients. Must focus on selling new and existing clients on private, semi-private and group instruction for Strength and Conditioning and ice training as well as maintain a book of (50-60) clients that are coming into the training programs weekly.

Work closely with Marketing Specialist to use marketing tools (ex. Social medial, constant contacts, email outreach, business outreach in the community) to develop filled programs both on & off the site.

Facility & Ice Administration:

Maintains Training floor and ice rink as well as overall facility including the inside and outside parts of the property to ensure customer safety. All staff members are to make sure the facility is clean before the end of the night (and whoever opens the building). Works with Facilities Manager and ownership to make sure equipment (Zamboni, ice level, ice chiller systems, lighting etc.) are all working properly.

Qualifications:

Preferred Education and Experience:

Minimum 4 Year degree Exercise Science, sport management, business degree.
Needs competitive hockey experience at minimum high school, junior, or college, Pro level(s) team hockey preferred. Must complete FMS Training and Strength and Conditioning Certifications within 6 months of hire

Travel is paid for by the Team's University fund. The team takes two 12-Passenger Vans and a Cargo Van to away games exceeding a one hour drive from the University. Currently, there are 5 away trips planned with only one night needing a hotel. (This may change!)

Responsibilities:

The Coach is responsible for conducting practices, game day management, conducting any team meetings, and communicating with the student leaders and team advisor.

The Downingtown West Ice Hockey Club has teams at the Middle School, Junior Varsity, and Varsity levels (including Girls and Boys Varsity teams). Our mission is to provide a safe, secure, and fun environment for youth to learn and develop skills in the game of ice hockey. Our practices and most of the games are at Ice Line Quad Rinks, 700 Lawrence Drive, West Chester, PA and Power Play Rink in Chester Springs, PA.

Downingtown West is a school district in Chester County, located in southeastern PA.

The Girls Varsity Team includes players from 7th to 12th grade from students new to the game of ice hockey to those who already are playing at various skill levels. Our Coaches are highly experienced, registered with USA Hockey, Safesport and have the PA Act 15 clearances for interacting with youth. Most of all, they have a passion for the game of ice hockey.

The regular season games begin in October and will go through March of 2019. There will be a total of approximately 16 games plus playoffs. Most of the games will be on Fridays(start time between 5 - 9:30 pm) and some on Monday evenings. We will play most of our games at Ice Line Quad Rinks in West Chester. Typically 3-4 practices a month which begin in September. The practices will continue into the fall/winter until the end of season. There will be no practices on holidays. We typically enter a squad in the IceLine Spring league.

We are seeking a high level coach to join our professional coaching staff. Coaches must foster an environment of sportsmanship, team chemistry, hard work, having fun while learning, discipline and intensity.

Camp Towanda - Summer Roller Hockey Coach

We are looking to hire a Hockey Coach for Camp Towanda, a children's summer camp in Honesdale, PA.

Hockey specialists at Camp Towanda have the opportunity to teach daily roller and floor hockey instruction to our campers; boys and girls, ages 7-17. Additionally, they are responsible for coaching our hockey intracamp games and intercamp leagues, including county-wide tournaments with other camps. This is a great opportunity for for both developing professionals to get coaching experience with a wide variety of ages and abilities and for seasoned coaches looking for a fun and engaging way to spend your summer!

Responsibilities include coaching, refereeing, executing lesson plans and coordinating with Department Head, Program Director and Athletic Director.

Specialists help teach groups of 20-40 campers at a time (boys and girls, ages 7-17). When you are not instructing in your area of expertise, you will work with the group that you live with, as a General Counselor. A bunk typically consists of 8-16 campers, 2-3 General Counselors and 2-3 Activity Specialists and a Junior Counselor. Each age group has generally 2-3 bunks lead by a Group Leader. Our entire camp eats three meals together in a dining hall where the oldest campers serve the meals. We have weekly BBQs and enjoy creative evening activities as a camp family (game shows, campfires, plays, sports leagues, scavenger hunts and more!).

A typical day starts at 7:15am and campers go to bed between 9-10pm. Counselors have a rotating schedule for time off and a day off. When you are in the cabin, you are on-duty and prepared to work!

We have endless staff support and training to help you be a successful Activity Specialist. You will need to be at camp prior to the camper's arrival for your Department-Specific orientation as well as a general orientation led by child development experts and our senior staff. During the summer you have the support of a Department Head, Group Leader, Assistant Group Leader, Head Counselor, Assistant Head Counselor and Owners/Directors, Mitch and Stephanie Reiter.

• Recruit a competitive team with a minimum of 15 players who will represent the The Kimberley Academy Bantam boys hockey program for the designated age group (U15). All players must attend Selkirk Secondary School as full time student-athletes.
• Create and organize a plan for on ice practices and development. The program should have a steady progressive approach to skills development.
• Assist in finalizing and organizing a yearly schedule that includes tournaments, exhibition games, school visits, educational-themed visits or events (roughly 50-60 game schedule).

EKU Colonels Men's Ice Hockey - Graduate Assistant Coach

The EKU Colonels Hockey Club is seeking a volunteer assistant coach for the upcoming 2018-19 season. The Colonels will play a 3o-game schedule in the ACHA as Member of the (Indiana Collegiate Hockey Conference) ICHC with two practices per week and two off-ice sessions per week on campus. EKU Hockey has just completed its third consecutive winning season in 2017-18 earning its second consecutive Bourbon Barrel and a record season for ticket sales.

The responsibilities will consist of assisting the Head Coach in planning, organizing and administrating all aspects of the program; including practice planning and implementation, strength and conditioning, video analysis and academic monitoring.

Please note that the position is strictly volunteer. Job Description: Under direction from the General Manager of the Daytona Racers Jr. Hockey Club, the head coach will manage all aspects of team activities. Promote and grow the Daytona Racers Hockey brand and team as well as the sport of ice hockey throughout the State of Florida, and the southeast United States.

About Daytona Racers Hockey

- Our home Ice is the Daytona International Skateway located in Daytona Fl
- The Daytona Racers are a member of the USPHL Premier and Elite League south division
- Our ownership group has over 50 years of Pro, NCAA, and youth hockey experience.
- We participate in three showcases in Ma., Chicago, and Florida Each year
- We are only team owned by the same owners of the facility making us the priority (We are not just renters)
- Player experience levels range from travel club teams, high school, and college hockey.
- Practices are expected to start mid-August and will be held weekly.
- 2019-19 Tryouts are End of April
- Most home games will be Friday, Saturday, or Sunday at the Daytona International Skateway. There will be overnight trips on weekends during the season. The team is scheduling approximately 44 games this upcoming season, not including post-season play.

Head Coach Responsibilities

The primary job of the Head Coach is to manage all aspects of the Premier Team activities. This includes, but is not limited to:

Proactively plan and conduct practices
Game day management (Lineups, setting lines, determining playing time, etc.)
Organizing and enforcing both off and in-season conditioning / workout plans
Assisting General Manager in accountability to and enforcement of team and Billet rules for individual players.
Reports to the General Manager and team owner.
Develop individual and team athletic skills and foster personal growth and development of all team members.
Help communicate with officials, coaches, and represent the club to other clubs, including assisting the general manager in scheduling, as requested.
Assisting the GM and owners with recruiting and securing a staff of assistant coaches and trainers as needed.

The Coach will also:

- Be available to help with any special events
- Be required to work within the policies & procedures of the DIS facility
- Be required to be involved with the Daytona Racers youth hockey program
- Successful completion of a background check as required

Minimum Qualifications

- Two (2) years coaching experience at competitive high school, travel (Midget Minor AA minimum), Junior, Intercollegiate level and above.
- USA Hockey Coaching Certification Level 3 or higher preferred

Desired Qualifications

- Experience in ice hockey coaching at the Jr. levels, college/university level or higher.
- Experience playing at the Jr. level, college/university level or higher.

Camp Chipinaw & Silver Lake Summer Camp Hockey Instructor

This position will report directly to the hockey director. The Head Coach will be responsible for selecting players for this team as well as organizing and implementing off season and in season training programs. Northwood School Girls Hockey Opening

Northwood School is a co-educational college preparatory school serving a boarding and day population of 175 students in grades 9 to 12, as well as post-graduates. Located in the Olympic Village of Lake Placid, New York, students are offered a unique combination of rigorous academic preparation, wilderness appreciation, and athletic competition.

Northwood School is seeking to hire a dynamic, full-time Head Coach for the Girls' Varsity Hockey Team. Candidates are expected to have coaching experience, preferably as a head coach, with the desire to work in a preparatory boarding school environment that promotes positive experiences beyond the ice. In addition to coaching, applicants should expect to be involved in the evaluation and recruitment of student-athletes, assist in the admission process for prospective student-athletes, implement daily practice plans and develop the entire girls' hockey program both on and off the ice. Candidates will also be a part of the Residential Life Program and serve as a faculty advisor to approximately 5 students at school.

Southern Oregon Spartans - Assistant Coach

The Southern Oregon Spartans are a proud member of the Western States Hockey League based out of Medford, Oregon. The WSHL is a junior A, tier 2 sanctioned hockey league that has a great reputation on advancing junior hockey players to the collegiate and/or professional level.

The Southern Oregon Spartans currently have a job opening for an assistant coach for the upcoming 2017-2018 season. Below are the following expectations for this job title:

Recruit quality players that could compete at the junior A level that were born anywhere from 1997-2001
Attend all practices, games, and meetings

Cheyenne Stampede Junior A Hockey Team – Interim Head Coach

The Cheyenne Stampede Junior A Hockey Team has an opening for the Head Coaching position for the Remainder of 2017-18 season. The Stampede, based in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and will compete in the Western States Hockey League (WSHL), a Tier II Junior A Hockey League. *Note: Level 4 USA Hockey Coaching Certification is required for this position and this position is Interim for the remainder of the 2017-18 Season.

Responsibilities:

- Recruit and select a full roster of quality junior caliber players
- Lead all on-ice camps, practices, games and daily dry-land
- Develop detailed game and practice plans including offensive and defensive systems as well as special teams play
- Assist the General Manager in the selection and management of all Hockey Operations Staff
- Serve as a representative of the Cheyenne Stampede when conducting meetings with parents, families, social clubs, and media
- Conduct leadership consistent with the values and standards set by the Cheyenne Stampede General Manager.
- Supervise and manage the conduct of players both on and off the ice
- Enforce all team rules – set-forth by General Manager
- Develop player rules and team policies related to those rules, including disciplinary standards
- Develop, implement, and conduct an off-ice conditioning program
- Develop and implement hockey systems manual
- Study game film and conduct regular team meetings to break down game film
- Develop and maintain collaborative, supportive, and professional relationships with area and league teams; help further establish and maintain a professional reputation among all external agencies (league staff, opposing teams, visiting and host hotels, referee group, sponsors, minor partners, opposing team fans and support staff, etc…
- Assist players in moving to higher-level leagues and / or colleges upon age-out or when skills exceed Tier III level
- Ensure that ALL team resources are managed and maintained properly
- Conduct summer hockey camps/team showcases
- Must possess good "Time-Management" skills and is able to "Multi-Task"
- Must be willing and able to perform "Community Outreach" and Public Relations appearances

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

- An existing recruiting list of junior caliber players
- A strong reputation and notoriety amongst junior caliber players, coaches, and parents
- *Level 4, or above, USA Hockey Coaching Certification (required), or proof of working towards a Level 4.
- Strong leadership and disciplinary skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop players in preparation for play at higher levels
- Demonstrated success as a coach at the U16, Youth AAA, Junior, or Collegiate level
- Junior, Collegiate, or Professional playing experience preferred
- Sound knowledge of game theory and concepts including systems and special teams play

Candidates must be willing and able to relocate to Cheyenne, WY upon hiring. Cheyenne is located 1.5 hours north of the Denver, Colorado metroplex. This is a full-time, year-round, salaried position. Assistant Coach – Wenatchee Wild Tier 1 AAA Development Teams

Wenatchee Amateur Hockey Association and the Wenatchee Wild Hockey Club are looking for an assistant coach to help with the Tier 1 AAA club teams. This is a part-time, stipend position, ideal for someone who is looking to gain valuable coaching experience. We are looking for someone to start immediately.

The candidate selected for this position will be able to hold another job or attend school in addition to holding this assistant coaching position. The Wenatchee Development Teams consist of three tier 1 AAA teams, the Wenatchee Wolves U18, Wenatchee Wilderness U16, and Wenatchee Wolverines U14 teams. The Wolves are a full-time academy style billet program, while the Wilderness and Wolverines are weekend-only tournament teams where the players travel on the weekends for training. The position can be tailored to the selected candidates needs and/or skill who can either work primarily with the U18 Wolves during the week or with the U16 Wilderness and U14 Wolverines on the weekends.
