SUNY- Buffalo State College - NCAA Women's Ice Hockey Assistant Coach/ Rink Assistant

The State University of New York at Buffalo State is looking for a qualified and energetic assistant coach to join the staff of their prestige women's ice hockey program. Formerly a member of the ECAC-West, Buffalo State will proudly participate in the newly formed Northeast Women's Hockey League. Under the direction of the Head Coach, candidate will be responsible for recruitment of potential student athletes, video breakdown and administrative duties. Position Summary:

- Candidate will assist in the planning, implementing and organization of all aspects of the program including travel arrangements, strength and conditioning sessions and game management duties.

Position Requirements:

- In depth knowledge of hockey, recruitment demographics and NCAA D3 compliance rules.
- Prior experience working with, training or coaching female student athletes.
- 2+ years of coaching experience at the High School, Prep, ACHA, or NCAA level.

Philadelphia Jr. Flyers Internship Program - Equipment Manager / Operations Manager

Dates: Summer – August 2017– April 2018

As part of the Philadelphia Jr. Flyers Junior Program; our interns will be granted the opportunity to work alongside a professionally run hockey club that competes in the Eastern Hockey League in the development of young men ages 16-20 in order to give them a chance to play college hockey at the highest level possible to them. Specifically our internship will provide the opportunity to work our day-to-day operations, game day operations, marketing the club to the community, and working directly with the teams' coaches and players to ensure our club is run according to our standards. All interns are expected to be proficient in Microsoft Programs (i.e. Excel, Word, etc.). In addition to working day-to-day with our coaching staff and management, they will be working directly with our players in making sure equipment, dressing room, and our offices are maintained and a proper working environment. The internship will span the duration of our season beginning shortly before training camp in August and ending at the conclusion of our season; ranging between mid-March to April 1. Throughout the course of the season intern(s) will have the chance to learn the business aspect of Junior hockey, learn valuable management skills, time management, daily operations management with many moving parts, and finally the opportunity to be involved in the production aspect of a hockey game.

Interns will be educated in the following:

- Game day operations include organizing and maintain Referee Locker Rooms, Visiting team Locker Rooms, our Dressing Room and Coaches Room.
- Day-to-day operations management; Including video crew management, our dressing room, and trainers.
- Marketing our club through the community
- Office management
- Equipment managing – keeping inventory, managing inventory, distribution and collection of all equipment

Internship Duties & Responsibilities:

- Daily: Work directly with coaching staff to ensure practices run according to plan. Be responsible for player personal on practice and off days. Daily operations will range from, but not limited to:
      o Practice jersey, water bottles, pucks, etc be prepared for practice – collected and washed (Jerseys), dressing room preparation.
      o Handle all equipment malfunctions, skates, sticks, helmets, skate sharpening (can be trained) etc.
      o Be responsible for all general housekeeping duties within the following area(s): Dressing Room, Coaches Room, bathrooms, showers, hallway, and both home and visiting team benches.
      o Work directly with visiting team trainer, manager, and equipment personnel about arrivals, necessities, etc before weekend series or showcases.
      o Work directly with equipment managers around the league to ensure road trips go smooth and our players' needs are met when traveling.
      o Handle player personal off the ice; whether scheduling meetings with coaching staff, or scheduling within the Rink management for team video, to ensure daily operations are run according to plan
- Road Trips
      o Encouraged to attend and be involved in all road trips
      ▪ Handle or assist in all phases of road trips; including but not limited to -- stick bag, jerseys, packing the bus, etc – be Point Man in terms of contact and structure of road trip
      ▪ Help schedule itinerary with Coaching Staff
      ▪ Work closely with coaching staff to prepare literature for scouts and college coaches
      ▪ Any other duties assigned by the coaching staff

Skill Director Assistant Coach

The Gillette Wild (NA3HL) has a position open for an assistant coach and skills director for the youth association. The position will include working with the local association to develop and oversee age appropriate skill based practices for the youth association and work as the assistant coach for our junior team that plays in the frontier division of the NA3HL.

This position runs from Sept 1 through March 30th. Applicants should be familiar with the USA Hockey ADM program and be able to run on ice practices from 10U-18U, assisting the coaches with player skill development 2-3 nights a week.

As a part of the Cheyenne Stampede organization, interns will be exposed to the inner workings of a professionally run hockey program. Specifically, interns will receive the opportunity to become involved with game night operations, marketing research and special projects. 1. Game Night- the game of hockey is an event and much occurs behind the scenes to insure our guests have an enjoyable evening regardless of the outcome. Intern responsibilities on game night will include (but not limited to) the following:

Helping with in-arena promotions (i.e.: ticket sales, promotions, and intermission activities) at all Stampede home games.
Assist with Customer Service and ticketing
Performing other duties as assigned by the General Manager

2. Research- you will be asked to assist in the research of general market information, hockey specific information and corporate partnership information as well as tracking of various media announcements.

Create literature, ticket sales promotions, and other special interest projects as needed
Collect and organize game notes, game stats, team rosters and media guides to distribute on game nights
Help in compiling team statistics on team and league attendance figures and player performance
Find, schedule, and attend community relations events

3. Special Projects- depending upon your development and time commitments, you could be asked to create special projects to assist the Stampede staff. This could include grassroots marketing programs, advertising community projects, etc.

The AHL's Stockton Heat, top development team of the NHL's Calgary Flames, are searching for a candidate for the position of 'AHL Video Analyst / Team Services'.

The position is based in Stockton, California, and works within the hockey operations department of the AHL's Stockton Heat – reporting to the Head Coach, and to the Assistant GM of the Calgary Flames.

Overview of duties for this position:

Video:

· Using XO's, under the direction of the Head Coach, responsible for leading the video breakdown of Stockton Heat games, specialty team video, pre-scout video, development clips, player shifts
· A resource for Stockton's coaching staff related to video and meeting preparations with the team and for individual players
· Oversee team video requirements, as well as provide on-going statistical analysis and analytics for the AHL Stockton Heat, and opposing teams for pre-scouts

Qualifications:

· Prior experience utilizing XO's video system in a high paced, development focused, hockey environment

The Penn State University Division II ACHA Men's Ice Hockey Team is seeking qualified candidates for the head coach position for the upcoming 2017-18 season, due to the retirement of our previous head coach. UAA Hockey Head Equipment Manager Job Description

The equipment manager will be in charge of all aspects of inventory, ordering and maintenance as it relates to the hockey program in an assigned budget. This individual will have daily responsibilities of skate sharpening, equipment repair, locker room set-up and maintenance, laundry, equipment transport to and from the Sullivan Arena and general up keep of all equipment related issues.

Central Maine Community College - Men's Hockey Coach

Central Maine Community College in Auburn, Maine is seeking a Men's Hockey Coach for the upcoming season. This very important position will work with the athletic director and other college personal to coach a high profile program at the Auburn College. The coach is responsible for the management of the hockey program.

This includes all recruiting, practice and game preparation. CM plays in the ACHA and will play between 20-28 games a year. The team practices 2-4 times a week. Although the program plays in the ACHA, it is funded and managed like any other college (CM) intercollegiate program. This position offers a $7000 a year stipend and has $2000 in additional funds for two assistant coaches.

Essential duties and responsibilities of this position include:

King's College is a private catholic institution located in Wilkes-Barre, PA, founded in 1946 by the Congregation of Holy Cross from the University of Notre Dame. Boston Shamrocks Hockey Academy - Full Time Assistant Coach & Residential Advisor

Job Description: The Boston Shamrocks Hockey Academy at Pope John XXIII School in Boston, MA is looking for a Full Time Assistant Coach for the Boys Full Season U18 Tier I AAA Varsity Prep Team. The individual would also be a Residential Advisor at Pope John XXIII School. Pope John is a private co-ed Catholic boarding school in Everett, MA (2 Miles outside downtown Boston).

The Boston Shamrocks Hockey Academy is a combination of Tier I AAA midget hockey and boarding school. All players attend and live at Pope John XXIII School and play for the Boston Shamrocks. The Shamrocks are members of the East Coast Elite League (ECEL) and E9 Hockey league.

The Season begins upon student arrival on September 1st, 2017 and goes through the end of March, 2018. Game schedule consists of 60-70 games. Home rink is the Allied Veteran's Memorial Arena in Everett located just off the main Pope John campus roughly half a mile away from school.
