FThe American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) has announced the finalists for this year's Spencer Penrose Award which goes to the Men's Ice Hockey University Division Coach of the Year. The finalists are comprised of the top vote-getters in conference Coach of the Year balloting and NCAA Frozen Four semifinalists.

This award was captured last year by Dean Blais of the University of North Dakota. The Spencer Penrose Award was named after the Colorado Springs, CO, benefactor who built the Broadmoor Hotel complex, site of the first ten NCAA Hockey Championships. The winner will be announced in early April and the award will be presented during the annual AHCA Convention in Naples, FL, on Saturday, April 27. |
