2021-22 Division I Women’s Coach of the Year Finalists Announced
Seven coaches who enjoyed on-ice success during the 2021-22 season have been named finalists for the CCM/AHCA Division I Women’s Ice Hockey Coach of the Year Award. The award will be announced on Thursday, March 17. Five of the finalists are former Coach of the Year honorees, two of them at the Division III level. Winners of this award: Maura Crowell of Minnesota Duluth (2017); Paul Flanagan of Syracuse (2001 while at St. Lawrence); and Dave Flint of Northeastern, last year's winner. Division III honorees are Yale's Mark Bolding (2010-12, 2018 at Norwich) and Vermont's Jim Plumer (2009 at Amherst).
To be a finalist for this award, one must either be voted Coach of the Year in your conference, or advance to the NCAA semifinals. The award will be presented on April 22 at the AHCA Convention in Naples, FL.
