Eighth Annual AHCA 'All-American Scholars' Announced for D I Hockey
610 D I Men and Women Recognized by the AHCA for 2023-24 Excellence
The American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) is once again recognizing varsity ice hockey players who compiled exceptional results in the classroom during the 2023-24 season with the announcement of the eighth annual “Krampade All-American Scholars.” To qualify, a student-athlete must have attained a 3.75 GPA for each semester, and had to appear in 40% of the team’s games. Exceptions were granted to injured players and back-up goaltenders. Schools also were required to be members of the AHCA.
The names of 610 Division I men (318) and women (292) are being released today, their Division II-III counter- parts being announced separately today. Of particular note are the seven athletes who not only earned this academic status, but were also voted as CCM/AHCA All-Americans for their on-ice play. They are:
Men
1st Team: Ryan Ufko, JR D, Massachusetts.
2nd Team: Gianfranco Cassaro, SR D, RIT; Collin Graf, JR F, Quinnipiac; Noah Laba, SO F, Colorado College.
Women
1st Team: Nicole Gosling, SR D, Clarkson; Caroline Harvey, SO D, Wisconsin.
2nd Team: Cayla Barnes, Graduate D, Ohio State.

Schools not listed either did not submit names by deadline or were not paid members of the AHCA for the 2023- 24 season. Should additional names come forward or corrections needed, a follow-up release will be issued.
